Who we are

Meadow General Contracting Ltd ("Meadow", "we") runs this website. Our Edmonton office is at 22529 99A Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 7R7. Send questions or requests about your personal information to info@meadowcontracting.ca, or call (587) 327-0144 during office hours.

As an Alberta business, we follow the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the province's private sector privacy law. PIPA gives you a right of access to your own personal information. In line with it, we collect only what we reasonably need for the purposes on this page.

What we collect

We collect what you give us through a form, a call, a text or an email, plus technical data from your visit:

  • Quote requests: your name, email, phone number, project type, the project details you write, and whether you ticked the box to receive text messages.
  • Site visit bookings: your name, phone number and project type.
  • Cash offer requests: your name, phone number, the property address, its condition, when you want to sell and, if you give it, your email.
  • Feedback after a project: your name unless you choose to stay anonymous, your ratings and your comments.
  • Deposits: your name, email, phone number, project address, the deposit amount and any invoice or quote number. You enter your card number on Stripe's page, not ours.
  • Calls, texts and emails: your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us.
  • Technical data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and the cookies and similar identifiers set by the tools described below.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to you, book site visits, prepare quotes and cash offers, carry out and invoice the work, take deposits and keep the records a business needs. Form submissions reach our office by email, and when you ask for a quote we also email you a confirmation.

We use technical data to understand how people use the site, to measure which ads lead to enquiries and to keep spam out of our forms. We don't sell your personal information.

Service providers handle some of this data for us: our website host, our email delivery service, Stripe for card payments, Cloudflare for the security check on our forms, the provider that sends our text messages, Google Maps for the map on our contact page, and the analytics and advertising tools below. Some of them store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States.

Text messages

Our quote form has an optional box to agree to text messages from Meadow General Contracting Ltd, and the wording beside that box is the consent you give. It covers texts to the phone number you provide, including appointment confirmations, scheduling reminders, project inquiry follow-ups and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance. Our texts come from 1-877-696-5753. We don't share your mobile number or your text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through a page, such as clicks, taps and scrolling, which we review as heatmaps and session recordings to find parts of the site that confuse people. When the Meta pixel is turned on, it reports page visits to Meta so we can measure and target our Facebook and Instagram ads.

These tools use cookies and similar identifiers. When you send a quote, site visit or cash offer form, our server may also report the submission to Google Analytics with the identifiers from your visit, your IP address, browser details, the page you were on and the form and project type, so enquiries are counted even when a browser blocks tracking scripts. For cash offer requests, it may send Meta your email and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form, with your IP address, browser details, the Meta cookie identifiers from your visit, the page you were on and the condition and timing you chose, so Meta can match the request to an ad.

Our lead forms also run Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that reads browser and device signals to tell people from bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the forms still work without analytics cookies.

Online deposits

Deposits on this site are paid through Stripe Checkout. You enter your card on Stripe's secure page, so we never see or store your full card number. Stripe sends us the payment result along with the name, email, phone number, project address, amount and invoice number you entered, and we use them to match the payment to your project. Stripe handles card data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. We will confirm who you are before we act on a request. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and after a deletion request we may keep records we still need, for example to honour a warranty or keep our accounts, in which case we will tell you.

You can withdraw your consent at any time: reply STOP to our texts, or email us to stop other contact. If you believe we collected, used or disclosed your information inappropriately, please tell us so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
